About Us

The Prescott Valley Library Adult Literacy Group (PVLALG) is an Arizona all-volunteer organization working to teach reading, writing, and English to adults in the greater Quad-Cities area: Prescott, Prescott Valley, Chino Valley, and Dewey. Our headquarters is located in the Prescott Valley Library with an office space graciously provided by the Library.  The tutor program is free to all adults over 18 years.  We tutor in a one-on-one format at a library near you.  Please see the locations shown on the map.

Our Mission

The mission of the Prescott Valley Library Adult Literacy Group is to be an all volunteer organization within the Quad-City community by providing opportunities for increased literacy for adults 18 and older at no cost. This includes ESL (English as a Second Language), and assistance with reading and writing skills including those with dyslexia.   We also assist students in obtaining their High School equivalency diploma (GED) and those desiring to apply for US citizenship.

These services are provided under the direction of the Board of Directors.
